A well earn’t win on the road against a Windsor side with a game plan. After our first meeting a few weekfs ago, our hosts had obviously earmarked Meshach Williams as a main threat and began the marking him very tightly, a number of occasions a little too vigourously. It was from one of these fouls, in the 14th minute, that we opened the scoring when Sam Merson fired in a free kick that the keeper could only parry. Micky Kamara was first to react to turn the ball in at the far post.

3 minutes later we were 2 goal up. Meshach firing home from just outside the box, the bounce catching the keeper slightly unawares.

We continued to press but had to wait until the 42nd minute for our 3rd. Once again Meshach wa fouled, this time in the penalty area. Sam Merson making no mistake from the spot to give us a good lead to take into the break.

The second half sas Windsor up their game and we spent most of the half on the back foot, relying on the occasional break away attack. The defense however held strong and, apart from falling asleep at a corner from which Windsor pulled a goal back, managed to nullify the attacking threat.

All in all a very hard fought victory and a very handy 3 points.
