Combined Counties Premier North

CB Hounslow are one of our oldest rivals and this fixture is normally a fiercly contested affair. This year though CB are going through a rebuilding stage and we managed to coast to a pretty comfortable victory over a young side.

The last couple of weeks has seen the return of a number of our players from injuries picked up in pre season and it was good to see our side starting to play as they did last year.

The first half consisted of almost constant pressure on the visitors goal but we had to wait until the 41st minute to crack them when Meshach Williams scored our first and then swiftly followed up with a second 4 minutes later. 2 nil into the break and the game looked over.

We made a number of changes during the break but the replacements fitted in nicely and the 2nd half followed the pattern of the first. We added to our total with goals from Sam Merson (53 min), Jordan Ellis (60 min) and Ben Merson (84 min). Ex Villain, Sid Dack, then pulled one back for CB with the best goal of the game, a fine strike from outside of the box.

All in all a good run out for our boys. Next saturday we expect a tougher challenge with the visit of North Greenford United.
