Our home, Rectory Meadow, since 1997, has seen many transformations, developed from being a cricket pitch with pavilion it is now a well purposed football stadium.
Sitting at the southernmost point of Hanworth (London) Air Park the club is surround by greenery which really shows off some of the best of Suburban South West London.
The Air Park itself has a fascinating history London Air Park, also known as Hanworth Air Park, was a grass airfield in the grounds of Hanworth Park House, operational 1917–1919 and 1929–1947. It was on the southeastern edge of Feltham, now part of the London Borough of Hounslow. In the 1930s, it was best known as a centre for private flying, society events, visits by the Graf Zeppelin airship, and for aircraft manufacture by the Whitehead Aircraft Company during World War I and General Aircraft Limited (GAL) 1934–1949; in total over 1,650 aircraft were built here. The club crest (introduced for the 2024/25 season) uses the frontage of Hanworth Park House at the heart of its design, ensuring the club gives a nod to the area it represents as well as to this historic location that has seen many uses in its lifetime. Our badge also references Tudor Court ,The name reflects the fact that a much older house once stood here - a hunting lodge used by Henry VIII and other Tudor monarchs. Little seems to remain from those times - though a length of high wall at the SW end of the churchyard looks Tudor. In any case, the Tudor house was replaced during the 18th century by a house that has in its turn been demolished - though fragments from that era can be seen from the churchyard.
2025 has seen the biggest ever transformation in the Rectory Meadow grounds. The summer has seen a complete redevelopment of the stadium area, at its heart a state of the art 3g artificial surface.
The new artificial pitch is of the highest grade available and is a cornerstone of our long-term “One Club, One Home” strategy. The pitch is made up of the latest technology in artificial playing surfaces and consists of a FIFA quality 3g high-performance shock pad and the latest PRO-gran infill, which players and supporters will note is green and not black as seen on other artificial surfaces.
The PRO-gran infill is the ultimate in playing and safety performance surface, the green infill provides almost no “splash”, no aroma, reduces the surface temperature and reduces the risk of skin abrasions by up-to 25%
With our environmental strategy also playing a key role in decision making this modern surface is better for the environment and exceeds the European Union safe toxicology standards since it releases no heavy metals or micro plastics and carries a lot less risk to the environment and users.
The move to an artificial surface not only a reduces the risk of postponements for the first team and our ground-share with London Samurai but also enables us to host more training and youth fixtures at Rectory Meadow, offering the best possible facilities to the next generation of Hanworth Villa players.
Not only is the stadium benefiting from the new pitch there are new and improved spectator facilities and accommodation, with a new stand on the park side of the stadium and re-location of our food outlet to the SDS Fans Zone. The Fan zone will provide a relaxed and improved fan experience with improved food outlet, a new bar and places to sit and relax before and after fixtures.
Not only is it the bits you see that have been improved over the 2025 summer, extensive work has also taken place on our infrastructure to help provide better internet and network access for our digital operations such as our tills which will help speed up service. Our media team will also benefit from fast and more stable internet provision across the site.
In addition to these improved lighting, CCTV and large concourse areas for fans to move around will help make everyone’s visit safer and secure, as well as providing security for our new facilities.
