The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Lucas Defise from Walton & Hersham.
Lucas returns to Villa after last appearing for the Club as a dual-registered player in early 2025, making nine appearances and scoring once.
A former Belgium Under-17 international with three caps, Defise began his career with AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea before joining Southampton in summer 2018. He progressed to the Under-21s at St Mary’s before returning to his native Belgium in 2021.
He then joined Union Saint-Gilloise Under-21s and spent a season on loan with Helmond Sport in the Dutch Eerste Divisie before stepping up to Union’s Under-23 side.
After leaving Union, Defise returned to the UK for a brief spell with Dartford before moving to Eastbourne Borough.
He joined the Swans in summer 2024, making 91 appearances and scoring three goals.
