CLUB STATEMENT – WITHDRAWAL FROM THE MIDDLESEX SENIOR CUP
Hanworth Villa FC regretfully announce our withdrawal from this season’s Middlesex Senior Cup.
This difficult decision has been made following a number of injuries within our first-team squad, combined with a fixture clash involving our Under-18s, who are scheduled to play in the FA Youth Cup at Slough Town on the same date. With player welfare and the long-term interests of the club in mind, we are unfortunately unable to fulfil our Middlesex Senior Cup fixture as originally planned on Tuesday 14th October.
We would like to place on record our sincere appreciation to the Middlesex FA for their understanding and continued support, and to our drawn opposition Northwood FC, whom we also thank for their patience and wish the very best of luck in the next round.
Hanworth Villa remain fully committed to the Middlesex Senior Cup and hold the competition in the highest regard.

“This was not a decision taken lightly. The Middlesex Senior Cup is a competition we value greatly and have always been proud to participate in. Unfortunately, with the injuries we’re carrying and the importance of our Under-18s FA Cup tie, we had to make a responsible choice for the welfare of our players and the sustainability of the squad. We look forward to returning to the competition in future seasons.”
