Super 7 Re-Commit to Villa, player update from May 2026

As Simon and his management team continue to build a squad for Step 3, we are delighted to confirm that seven members of last season’s promotion-winning squad have committed their futures to Hanworth Villa for the upcoming campaign.
First to re-sign is club captain George Wells. A key figure throughout last season, Wells made 40 league appearances and scored four goals. Among those was a dramatic stoppage-time penalty against Bognor Regis Town, securing a vital victory for Villa.
Also returning is Ben Mulley, one of Villa’s most consistent performers last season. After suffering a serious injury that sidelined him for six months, Mulley made a remarkable recovery and returned to action far sooner than expected. He made his first appearance of the season in the goalless draw away to Southall on 12 November and went on to make 28 appearances, scoring five goals. Two of those strikes would undoubtedly be contenders for Goal of the Season.
Another player committing to the new campaign is one of Villa’s longest-serving players, Guy Ansah-Palmer. A constant presence throughout the season, Guy made 36 appearances, contributing numerous assists while also finding the net five times himself.
Ben Geraghty will also remain at Rectory Meadow for the new season. His work rate, commitment and consistency made him one of Villa’s most dependable performers last term. Geraghty featured 38 times and chipped in with six goals during another impressive campaign.
Next up is Liam Ferdinand, who made an immediate impact after joining the club in early December by scoring on his debut. Ferdinand went on to make 24 appearances during the second half of the season and proved to be one of the most influential additions to the squad, scoring an impressive 15 goals.
We are also thrilled to say Brandon Curtis is sticking with Villa as we move up to step 3. Curtis was the second most featured player last season with 40 league appearance and netted himself 3 goals over the season.
Completing this latest round of retained players is goalkeeper Tyla Dickinson, whose performances between the posts played a huge role in Villa’s success last season. Joining the club in September, Dickinson made 37 appearances and was a key contributor to the best defensive record in the South Central Division. Villa conceded just 38 league goals throughout the campaign, the fewest in the division.
We are delighted to retain the services of these 7 players and look forward to seeing them represent the club once again as we prepare for the challenges of Step 3 football.
