FA Trophy Match Preview: Northwood FC v Hanworth Villa
This year's Isuza FA Trophy begins this Saturday with a trip to the Skyline Roofing Stadium home of Northwood FC.
After last week's disappointing FA Cup exit in East London at the hands of Soul Tower Hamlets. The FA Trophy begins for Villa in the preliminary round stage of the competition where Villa will look to progress into the first qualifying round for the 4th consecutive season since the club entered the competition back in 2022.
Officially formed in 1926 with unclear roots running back to 1899. Northwood FC play out of the Skyline Roofing Stadium in the Southern League Division One Central. “The Woods” have played at Step 4 of Non-league football since 2008 having played in 3 different leagues during this time. Both clubs spent two seasons together in the Isthmian South central Division including a year where both clubs finished inside the play-off places in the 2022-23 season.
Northwood will enter their 26th consecutive season in the FA Trophy with their deepest run coming back in the 2000-01 season as they made it to the 4th Qualifying round of the competition as they lost out to Grays Athletic drawing 1-1 at home before losing the replay 1-0.
Hanworth Villa and Northwood have met five times in competitive fixtures with Villa winning all 5 of these encounters. The first meeting between these clubs came back in 2022 and ironically in the FA Trophy where Villa entered the competition for the first time beating Northwood 3-0 away from home.

If you're arriving nearer to Harrow or Ealing, bus routes like the 282 or H11 provide more direct access.
If you're exiting from Northwood Iron Bridge bus stop or Ruislip Maor Station. A short walk is easily accessible towards to the ground.
